Position Summary

The Systems Engineer, Enterprise Technology Operations (ETO) is responsible for supporting and advancing the organization’s cloud and traditional infrastructure environments. This role requires deep expertise in both Azure and Amazon cloud platforms, as well as strong familiarity with datacenter operations, server administration, Active Directory, and enterprise networking. The engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable systems, while also providing technical leadership and support for networking functions. This position is critical to ensuring operational continuity and supporting the organization’s cloud-forward strategy.

 

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions in Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Administer and support traditional datacenter infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and storage systems.
• Manage and maintain Active Directory, identity management, and access controls.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud and on-premises environments.
• Collaborate with application, database, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and support.
• Support and maintain enterprise networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
• Assist in the migration of workloads and services from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and outages as needed.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience in cloud operations, with deep expertise in both Azure and AWS environments.
• Strong background in traditional datacenter infrastructure, server administration, and Active Directory.
• Solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts and hands-on experience with network support (CCNA/CCNP or equivalent preferred).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across cloud, infrastructure, and networking domains.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

 

 

Preferred Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in cloud and infrastructure operations, with significant exposure to networking and datacenter environments.
