Frank Brown has been involved in affordable housing finance since 2000. Prior to joining Berkadia, Frank was a Director with Citi Community Capital where he closed over $600 million of affordable housing debt and equity transactions involving Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other proprietary lending/investing programs. During that time, he wa responsible for Citi’s CRA lending and investing activities in Texas.
Frank’s 15+ years of experience in the industry also includes serving as Vice President in the Affordable Housing Group at Capmark/GMAC Commercial Mortgage, Berkadia’s predecessor company, where he was involved in originating, underwriting, and closing over $700 million in affordable construction and permanent loans, tax exempt bond credit enhancements, and private placements. He started his career as a loan underwriter in the Affordable Housing Division of ARCS Commercial Mortgage.
