Mike Cerny joined Berkadia in November 2022 as Vice President of Originations for Medical and Life Sciences. Mike focuses on debt placement, JV equity structuring and leads the underwriting team. He is an accomplished senior level professional with over 20 years of diverse experience in commercial real estate and healthcare real estate finance.
Mike joins Berkadia from Wells Fargo’s specialty real estate finance group, where he served as Director, Relationship Manager and Lead Underwriter for medical office and life sciences. During his time at Wells Fargo, he directly contributed to closing $2 billion in healthcare real estate loan commitments. Prior to Wells Fargo, Mike held similar senior level roles at Capital One and GE Capital.
Mike received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Calvin University and achieved the CCIM designation in 2016.
