Stephen Murden is a Managing Director within the Richmond, Virginia FHA office of Berkadia. He has been involved with HUD-insured financing for over 20 years and has consistently been one of the top producers for Berkadia’s FHA division. Mr. Murden is part of the Richmond FHA production team that specializes in multi-family housing and assisted living facilities.
Mr. Murden has been with Berkadia since 2009 and has worked within the mortgage lending industry since 1992. He began originating HUD-insured multi-family loans in 1997 and has an extensive background in the financing of new construction, substantial rehabilitation and existing apartment communities. In addition, Mr. Murden has expertise in the financing of a broad range of commercial property types through a variety of conventional lending products.
Mr. Murden earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University in 1992, majoring in Finance and minoring in Economics.
