William Letzer, Associate Director in the Birmingham office, began his career at Protective Life as a Financial Analyst, where he forecast financial performance for Life & Annuity cost centers to ensure operational efficiency. In his two years at Protective, William passed the CFA Level I.
William then joined Birmingham-based StoneRiver Company, an investment company with a 25-year history that acquires, develops and manages multifamily properties throughout the Southeast. During his two-year tenure as an Investments Analyst, he sourced and underwrote core-plus and value-add multifamily assets, created deal memorandum presentations, and wrote quarterly letters to Fund investors. He was also extensively involved in the asset management of StoneRiver’s real estate portfolio, creating monthly performance dashboards to forecast cash positions and developing annual budgets to determine disposition targets at each property.
Most recently, William was Senior Financial Analyst on the Alabama Berkadia team, where he underwrote all investment opportunities, drafted offering memoranda, tracked investment sales and construction activity, and led the research on marketing materials and client presentations. In 2021, he supported 15 multifamily deals totaling over $410 million in transaction volume.
A Birmingham native, William graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. An Eagle Scout who loves challenges and learning, William is a CCIM candidate and hopes to earn his designation in 2023.
William lives with his wife Chandler and golden retriever Bentley. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, golfing, skeet shooting, and traveling.
