Kevin Owens is an Associate Director at Berkadia Commercial Mortgage providing Structured Finance and Debt advisory services. His banking practice specializes in providing and guiding solutions for commercial real estate construction, acquisitions, refinances and supplemental financing with a focus on multifamily, storage, retail, office, industrial and portfolio single-family-rentals. Additional focus includes mezzanine debt, equity placement and foreign direct investment into US real estate.
Leading into his role at Berkadia, Kevin worked in Multifamily Loan Production and Underwriting at Freddie Mac. His experience working for Freddie Mac provides invaluable insight into deal structure, take-out metrics and underwriting methodologies. The expertise gained from underwriting billions of agency debt allow him to confidentially forecast capital stack structures specific to multifamily debt markets.
Kevin began his career with Morgan Stanley in Listed Derivatives then began working on the buy-side of trading and analysis for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute endowment focusing on fixed-income.
